Assistant to the russian dictator Yuri Ushakov said that the efforts of the aggressor country russia and the United States to end the war in Ukraine are not exhausted and continue. His words are cited by Reuters.
Ushakov said that at the meeting in Alaska, the US and russian presidents had an agreement that has not been canceled and continues to be implemented. According to him, the efforts of the two countries to end the war in Ukraine continue.
"Claims that the Anchorage momentum is fading, or that the momentum has been exhausted, are completely incorrect. We continue to work with the Americans based on what was agreed upon between the presidents in Anchorage," Ushakov emphasized.
Recall that on October 8, russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that the "momentum" from the August 15 summit in Anchorage, Alaska, between Presidents Putin and Trump was "largely exhausted" and accused Ukraine's European allies of "torpedoing peace efforts."
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 16, US President Donald Trump said that he and putin had not reached an agreement on resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
On September 15, Trump said that he doesn't rule out organizing a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and russian dictator vladimir putin, but admitted that it would be difficult to do so.
Also, on September 15, Trump for the first time called russia the aggressor in the war against Ukraine.
