G7 Ambassadors hold urgent meeting over russia's attack on Ukraine's energy sector

Ambassadors of the G7 countries (USA, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Canada and Japan) held an urgent meeting with the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Svitlana Hrynchuk and representatives of the energy and gas sector to discuss the attack by the aggressor country of russia. This was stated in the message of the X-account of the chairmanship of the group of Ambassadors of the G7 countries in Ukraine on Friday, October 10.

In addition to Hriychuk, representatives of the companies NJSC Naftogaz, Ukrenergo and Energoatom were present at the meeting. The Ambassadors of the G7 countries discussed the large-scale russian attacks on the energy and civil infrastructure of Ukraine, as well as support for the state and resolving issues with the most urgent needs due to the massive attack by the enemy.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of October 9-10, the russian army carried out a massive air attack on Ukraine. The main target was energy infrastructure facilities in several regions of the country.

Due to the massive combined shelling of the russian federation in the Zaporizhzhia Region, they called for economical gas consumption.

Ukrenergo listed the regions where emergency power outage schedules were introduced due to shelling by the russian army.
