On the night of October 10, russian occupation troops attacked Ukrainian energy infrastructure. This was reported by Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk on Facebook.
It is noted that all means are currently being used to minimize the consequences.
"At this moment, the russians are launching a massive strike on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. Power engineers are taking all necessary measures to minimize the negative consequences. As soon as security conditions allow, power engineers will begin clarifying the consequences of the attack and restoration work," the message says.
Earlier, it was reported that three power outages schedules are in effect in the Chernihiv Region at the same time.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the morning of October 6, Ukrenergo listed the regions of Ukraine where the most difficult situation with electricity supply after the russian strikes has developed.
Also on October 6, the American publication The Wall Street Journal wrote that Ukraine has prepared several large battery parks that will give power engineers time in the event of massive strikes on energy infrastructure.
