As a result of yet another hostile attack on energy facilities, power outages have been reported in several regions this morning. Ukrenergo has reported this on Telegram.

In particular, the situation remains difficult in the city of Shostka and part of the Sumy Region. Also, in the Chernihiv Region, the local regional power distribution company was forced to apply two stages of the emergency outage schedule for some consumers (including the regional center).

It is also reported that electricity consumption remains high. Today, October 6, as of 9:30 a.m., it was 1% higher than on the previous business day, Friday.

"The reason is the persistence of cloudy weather in most regions. This leads to low efficiency of household solar power plants and a corresponding increase in energy consumption from the general grid," the statement said.

Yesterday, October 5, the daily maximum consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 6.9% higher than the maximum of the previous Sunday, September 28. The reason for this is a significant drop in air temperature, which causes consumers to use electric heaters.

"Given the weather conditions, there is still a need for economical energy consumption today. Please do not turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time during the evening peak hours of the power system from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.," the power engineers urge.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, last night the russian occupiers attacked Chernihiv with drones - they hit an enterprise and a power facility, resulting in emergency power outages in one of the districts. Hourly power outage schedules are still in effect.

On the night of October 5, the aggressor state of russia launched attacks on energy infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. In particular, the equipment of Zaporizhzhiaoblenergo was damaged, and a significant number of consumers are without electricity.
