Members of Parliament broke a 19-year record for the number of amendments to the draft state budget for 2026. This was announced by the head of the Verkhovna Rada's budget committee, Roksolana Pidlasa (the Servant of the People faction), on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to her, 3,339 amendments were submitted to the draft state budget for 2026, which is more than 59% more than last year. Pidlasa recalled that 2,098 amendments were submitted to the 2025 budget.
According to her, the largest number of amendments were submitted by: European Solidarity - 910 pieces, Servant of the People - 652 pieces, MFO Smart Politics - 470 pieces, Holos - 437 pieces.
The following MPs distinguished themselves the most: Herasymov (ES) - 662 amendments, Zhelezniak (Holos) - 254 amendments, Razumkov - 254 amendments.
"If we spend at least 90 seconds on considering each amendment, then their hearing will last more than 10 full working days," Pidlasa noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 15, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft state budget for 2026 and submitted it to the Verkhovna Rada for approval.
