The Cabinet of Ministers proposes that the Verkhovna Rada adopt the 2026 state budget with revenues of UAH 2.89 trillion and expenditures of UAH 4.75 trillion.
This is stated in bill No. 14000, registered in the parliament on September 15, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The maximum deficit is UAH 1,896.4 billion, or 18.4% of GDP.
The hryvnia exchange rate set in the budget for next year is 45.6 UAH/USD, inflation is 9.9% (December to December), GDP growth is expected to be 2.4% next year.
In addition, the minimum wage will be UAH 8,647,000 or UAH 52 per hour, and the subsistence minimum is UAH 3,209.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Budget Code provides that amendments from parliamentarians will be submitted by October 1, after which the Budget Committee will prepare a table of proposals and budget conclusions (somewhere by mid-October).
Further, the approval of budget proposals should take place by October 20, this will be considered the first reading.
Finalization of the draft budget 2026 and its final approval should take place by November 20.
