Russians attack Chernihiv Region's railroad with drones

This afternoon, russian occupation forces conducted drone strikes near the Nosivka-Nizhyn railway station in the Chernihiv Region. This is stated in a message on the Telegram channel of the Nizhyn City Council on Tuesday, October 7.

As a result of the attack by the russian occupiers in the area of Nizhyn, train traffic on one of the tracks was delayed. The attack was carried out by unmanned aerial vehicles near the Nosivka-Nizhyn railway station.

"There may be a temporary suspension of railway traffic. There is no information about the victims," the statement said.

In addition, the situation in the city remains tense, as the aggressor's army hit an enterprise that has been out of operation for a long time.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 2, due to the deterioration of the situation in the power grid, the schedules of hourly power outages were increased in the Chernihiv Region.

On October 2, the mayor of Nizhyn, Oleksandr Kodola, said that the city remains without electricity supply as a result of strikes by the aggressor country russia. Since October 6, all educational institutions have been switched to distance learning.

As of today, October 7, due to air attacks by the aggressor state of russia, consumers in four regions - Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk - are without electricity.
