Unmanned aerial vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have eliminated the russian electronic warfare station Zhitel, which is considered one of the rarest and most expensive targets on the battlefield.

The Nemesis 412th Regiment reported this on Telegram.

According to the military, drones of the 412th Regiment, in cooperation with aerial reconnaissance of one of the units of the State Border Guard Service, discovered and destroyed the station in the Luhansk Region. A video of the hit was published on the Telegram channel.

"The R-330Zh Zhitel radio jamming station is an extremely rare and expensive target. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the destruction of only 23 such enemy systems has been visually confirmed," the regiment noted.

Zhitel is a complex multifunctional system. It is capable of:

  • jamming ground radio communications at a distance of up to 25 km,
  • blocking aircraft communications at a distance of up to 50 km,
  • locating signal sources and determining their coordinates,
  • interfering with satellite communications, GPS navigation, and GSM networks.

The destruction of such a station significantly weakens the capabilities of russian troops in conducting electronic warfare in this direction.

Recall that the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed an S-400 radar station in Crimea with attack drones.
