President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Moldovan President Maia Sandu on her party's victory in the parliamentary elections. Zelenskyy announced on the telephone conversation with Sandu on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"I spoke with Moldovan President Maia Sandu. I am glad to congratulate Maia on a very important victory and wish her success. These elections showed that russian destabilizing activity is losing, and Moldova in Europe is winning. Russian subversive activity, constant disinformation - none of this worked. It is important that Moldova was effective in protecting itself from threats together with everyone who helped," the President noted.
Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine always supports Moldova and will continue to work together.
"Together we are overcoming challenges and building a future that will give our peoples a good perspective in all areas - security, economic, and therefore social," he noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Moldovan party Action and Solidarity (PAS), to which the incumbent President Maia Sandu belongs, won the country's parliamentary elections and received 50.03% of the vote.
