99% of election protocols processed in Moldova, Maia Sandu's party wins

The Moldovan Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), to which incumbent President Maia Sandu belongs, won the country's parliamentary elections and gained 50.03% of the vote. This was reported by the Moldovan Central Election Commission.

The Action and Solidarity Party (Partidul Acțiuni și Solidaritate, PAS) of President Maia Sandu won 49.9% of the vote - more than 780,000 citizens voted for it, which provides it with a sufficient majority to retain power for a second term, according to results from all polling stations.

In second place is the opposition Patriotic Electoral Bloc, one of the leaders of which is former President Igor Dodon, who advocates rapprochement with russia. This bloc was voted for by 24.26% of voters.

The Alternative bloc came in third place, with 7.9% of voters voting for it.

Also entering parliament are:

  • Renato Usatii's Our Party - 6.21%;
  • Democracy at Home party - 5.63%.

The counting of votes from the diaspora, which has been voting for longer than Moldovan residents, is currently underway. Among Moldovan citizens in European countries who are going to the polls, there is an overwhelming majority of PAS voters.
