In the russian city of Belgorod, after a strike on the local thermal power plant, electricity and water supply disappeared. This was stated by the governor of the russian region Vyacheslav Gladkov on his Telegram channel.
Also, according to Gladkov, the attack caused significant power outages. He noted that due to the lack of electricity, there may be problems with warning of missile threats or drone attacks.
In addition to Belgorod itself, problems with power supply have also arisen in nearby villages.
The ASTRA Telegram channel adds that smoke is rising in the area of the Belgorod thermal power plant, electricity and water supply have disappeared in the city, elevators have stopped, shops have closed or are working only for cash, transport is intermittent, there is no lighting on some streets, and traffic lights are also out. In addition, local public media reports that the Luch substation in Belgorod was hit.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, residents of the Belgorod Oblast complained about interruptions in the supply of gasoline and rising fuel prices.
Last year, in December, Russia claimed that drones attacked the Belgorod region. Numerous settlements were left without electricity.
