Aalborg Airport in northern Denmark temporarily suspended all flights on the night of September 25 due to the detection of drones in the airspace. This is reported by Reuters.
An airport representative confirmed that four flights were changed due to the incident - two SAS aircraft, one Norwegian and one KLM.
"Drones have been spotted near Aalborg Airport, the airspace is closed. Police are on the scene, conducting an investigation," the North Jutland police said on the social network X.
This is not the first such incident: on September 22, airports in the capitals of Denmark and Norway had to be closed due to the appearance of unknown drones.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that she did not rule out Russia's involvement in these attacks, calling the event "the most serious incident in the country's history."
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 22, several airports in Norway and Denmark suspended operations due to unidentified drones that flew into the airspace of both countries.
On September 18, a fragment of a russian Gerbera UAV was discovered in the far west of Latvia. Such drones are actively used by the army of the aggressor country, the russian federation, during air attacks on Ukraine.
On the night of September 9-10, several dozen UAVs flew into the airspace of Poland. These were russian drones launched during an air attack on Ukraine.
