On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, a meeting took place between the wife of the US President Melania Trump and the wife of the President of Ukraine Olena Zelenska. The Ukrinform agency reported this on Wednesday, September 24, citing its own sources.
According to the publication, the bilateral meeting of the First Ladies took place in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. The sources have not yet informed how exactly the conversation took place and what it was about.
"According to their information, the bilateral meeting of the First Ladies took place. Later, Olena Zelenska's team will come out with communication and details," the report says.
As a reminder, on September 24, Olena Zelenska took part in an event on the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, dedicated to mental health.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 24, The New York Post, citing Melania Trump's senior advisor Marc Beckman, stated that US First Lady Melania Trump is not planning any official meetings with Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska.
