US First Lady Melania Trump is not planning any official meetings with Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska, despite the latter's several appeals.
This was reported by the New York Post with reference to Melania Trump's senior advisor Marc Beckman.
"Ms. Zelenska has initiated the meeting several times, but there will be no bilateral talks. Nothing official is planned," he said.
According to Beckman, Melania is "very polite" and will greet Zelenska today, but no serious conversations or formal negotiations are planned.
During a reception for First Ladies and Gentlemen at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Olena Zelenska crossed paths with Melania Trump, but the planned bilateral meeting did not take place. Melania was at the event for only four minutes and quickly left the hall after her speech, without greeting the other participants.
Earlier, in August, US President Donald Trump gave russian leader vladimir putin a letter from Melania, which emphasized the importance of achieving peace for the sake of children.
