Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter, at a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said that her country is ready to host a meeting at the level of the leaders of Ukraine and russia. This was stated in a message from the official Internet representation of the head of state on Tuesday, September 23.
Zelenskyy and Karin Keller-Sutter discussed the peace process. The Swiss President also noted that there are no signs that russia is ready to end the war against Ukraine.
"Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed his readiness to meet with the russian side at the level of leaders. Karin Keller-Sutter assured that Switzerland is ready to host such a meeting," the message says.
At the same time, Zelenskyy and Keller-Sutter noted that the violation of the airspace of NATO member states by russian drones, which is an extension of aggression, is not accidental.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 19, Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis said that Switzerland would grant russian president vladimir putin immunity from an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC) if he comes to peace talks on Ukraine.
