Khreshchatyk is planned to be blocked daily at nine in the morning for a national minute of silence.
The Kyiv City Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko reported this on his Telegram channel on Monday, September 22.
Tkachenko noted that the blocking of Khreshchatyk is planned to begin this week. A corresponding order is already being prepared with instructions for the patrol police, the Center for Traffic Management, the Department of Transport, and units responsible for community communications.
"Khreshchatyk is the heart of the capital. And the capital is the heart and an example for all of Ukraine. I am not expecting understanding, but respect for those who gave their lives for our lives. Every day 9 a.m. Stop. Honor," Tkachenko wrote.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 26, a man with a gun announced a minute of silence in Vinnytsia.
Since April 1, a minute of silence has been announced in Kyiv on billboards and city lights.
We remind you that since February at 9:00 a.m. loudspeakers have been announcing a minute of silence on Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square and Khreshchatyk in Kyiv.
