The Ministry of Defense is deploying a new digital military accounting system "Impulse". The Ministry of Defense has announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has begun deploying the digital military accounting and management system "Impulse". This is the first digital tactical-level system that should be operational in every military unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the report says.
The Ministry of Defense explains why "Impulse" is needed:
combat units and personnel services keep records of military personnel every day, generate orders and other documents;
from now on, this can be done in a secure digital environment;
the system works faster and reflects the current status of each serviceman in the unit.
The first units to start using the system were the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces. "Impulse" will be operational in the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the coming weeks.
"We are scaling the Impulse system in the army and creating a base for eliminating unnecessary bureaucratic burden on servicemen. From now on, military units will receive quick access to up-to-date information about people, and the command will be able to make management decisions based on clear, transparent data for each unit," said Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.
Deputy Defense Minister for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization Oksana Ferchuk noted that Impulse records up-to-date data about each serviceman and changes in service, on the basis of which orders, certificates and statistical data are formed.
The Defense Ministry notes that Impulse has been authorized in accordance with modern international cybersecurity standards used by NATO countries, all data is stored and transmitted in a protected environment, and access is provided only to authorized persons with a certain level of rights.
The system was developed by military IT specialists of the Center for Scaling Technological Solutions, and deployment is provided by units of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the future, they plan to integrate "Impulse" with other digital solutions for the Defense Forces: the application for the military "Army+", electronic document management, and the Medical Information System. As the ministry notes, this will create a single electronic space for managing military personnel in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the application for the military "Army+" began operating on August 8, 2024, with its help, military personnel, in particular, can submit electronic reports.
Last year, online training on military affairs was launched in the "Army+" application.
In July, a training course on preventing corruption in the military appeared in the "Army+" application.
