Units of the army of the aggressor country russia in the area of Pokrovsk of the Donetsk Region are trying to bypass the positions of the Ukrainian military and penetrate the residential areas of the settlements.
The 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this today, September 22.
The Corps' press service said that the occupiers have intensified assault operations in the Pokrovsk direction. They also continue to make efforts to block the logistical routes used by the Ukrainian military.
At the same time, there is a change in the tactics of the russians in the Corps' area of responsibility. Previously, the occupiers massively used the tactics of small assault groups. Now they are trying to bypass the positions of the Ukrainian military and infiltrate the settlements.
Using such tactics, a group of occupiers was able to infiltrate one of the settlements the other day.
"As a result of the measures taken, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed the Russians. There is no threat of the enemy accumulating in this settlement," the Corps' press service reported.
In addition, the russians are conducting round-the-clock reconnaissance in the area of Pokrovsk. Up to 600 drones of various types are being recorded daily.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 19, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said that the Ukrainian military had liberated seven settlements since the start of the counteroffensive operation in the area of Dobropillia of the Donetsk Region.
As a reminder, on September 17, the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) stated that the russian army was transferring all possible forces to the area of Pokrovsk.
Also on September 17, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the occupiers were preparing two more offensive campaigns.
