Russia preparing two more offensive campaigns, previous three ended in failure - Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already thwarted three large-scale offensive operations of the russian army, but the Kremlin has not abandoned its plans and is preparing two more.

Zelenskyy said this in an interview with SkyNews, which was published by the YouTube channel of the Office of the President.

"The mood in Europe and the United States is really changing a little. In general, I am glad, really glad that all the russian advances, all their offensive missions, and there have already been three of them, and they are planning two more difficult offensive campaigns ahead. Their last three missions have failed. And, in my opinion, this is a very important signal.

Firstly, what I told the Europeans and the White House, that the russians will not be able to take our East and that what they are telling you, that they can occupy the city of Sumy, are all lies and manipulations, and we will be able to prove all this. And so it happened: the russians lost three campaigns," the President said.

According to Zelenskyн, the aggressor suffered huge losses in manpower and equipment, which is why it is in tension. At the same time, the President emphasized that Ukraine must receive more weapons and funding in order to be able to repel future attacks.

"The Ukrainian army needs to be supported with weapons and financial support that goes to the production of weapons, and then Ukraine will withstand two more offensive campaigns by the russian federation," he summed up.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on September 16, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that US President Donald Trump would likely meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy next week in New York.

On September 15, Trump said that he did not rule out organizing a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and russian dictator vladimir putin, but admitted that doing so would not be easy.

Also on September 15, Trump called russia the aggressor in the war against Ukraine for the first time.
