US President Donald Trump said that his administration is working hard to end russia's war in Ukraine, and expressed expectations for interaction with Chinese leader Xi Jinping to put an end to it.
The White House leader said this during a conversation with reporters in the Oval Office of the White House.
"We are working very hard to resolve the issue between russia and Ukraine. We will see what happens there," the US President stressed.
At the same time, Trump expressed his belief that this issue will be resolved. He added that after his conversation with Xi Jinping on Friday, which was reported by Ukrainian News Agency, he believes that China will also join the settlement process.
"President Xi and I have talked about this, and I think he would really like to see it happen. And I think he is going to work with us to do this," the American President emphasized.
Trump once again said that Zelenskyy and putin "hate each other," and once again praised himself for "stopping seven wars," emphasizing: "no one has ever done anything like this."
At the same time, he repeated another of his statements: "This is a war that should never have started. This is a war that would never have happened if I were President."
Trump also touched on the topic of supplying weapons and equipment to Ukraine, stating that he "does not want to make money from this war."
"But in fact, we make money from this war because they buy weapons and equipment from us," the US President stated.
