EU wants to create "drone wall" to protect against russian attacks

The European Union will discuss the creation of a "drone wall" to protect its eastern borders from attacks by the aggressor country russia. Ukraine should also join this project.

The head of the Presidential Office, Andrii Yermak, announced this on his Telegram channel on Friday, September 19.

Yermak noted that Ukraine is currently the only country in Europe that is forced to wage a modern war against the aggressor country russia. According to him, since the Second World War and the Cold War, the principles of warfare have changed, and drones have begun to play a key role.

"Next week, negotiations will be held in the EU on the creation of a "drone wall" along the eastern border to protect against Russian attacks. Ukraine should also join this project," the head of the President's Office emphasized.

In his opinion, the army should rely, in particular, on artificial intelligence in strike and anti-aircraft drones.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 13, due to the threat of the use of drones by the aggressor country russia in the border area of Ukraine, Poland raised military aviation and deployed ground-based air defense systems.

On September 14, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said that the incursion of russian drones into Polish airspace was an attempt by the kremlin to test NATO's reaction through gradual escalation.
