Russia transfers 1,000 bodies of fallen soldiers to Ukraine

The aggressor country of russia has transferred 1,000 bodies to Ukraine, which, according to the russian side, belong to Ukrainian servicemen. This was reported by the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War on Thursday, September 18.

Today, the bodies of 1,000 of the killed were returned to Ukraine as part of repatriation measures. Law enforcement agencies and experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs will soon conduct the necessary examinations to identify the killed.

"A special thanks to the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who transport the repatriated fallen Heroes to designated state specialized institutions, organize the transfer of the killed to representatives of law enforcement agencies in the Ministry of Internal Affairs system and forensic medical examination in the Ministry of Health system. Investigators of law enforcement agencies, together with expert institutions from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will establish the identities of the killed as soon as possible," the message says.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 19, Ukraine returned the bodies of 1,000 killed, some of whom died in captivity.
