"I visited headquarters of organization with very dubious reputation," Chief Rabbi of Ukraine visits UN

The Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Azman announced that he visited the UN headquarters. He reported this on Facebook.

"On the eve of the upcoming session of the UN General Assembly, which will take place next week, I visited the headquarters of this organization with a very dubious reputation," the Rabbi wrote.

Moshe Azman did not say who exactly he met with at the UN headquarters, only noting that he came to pray.

"To pray that the Almighty, blessed be He, would return reason and common sense to this institution, which was created to protect Good and fight evil, and not the other way around, as is happening now!" Azman stated.

As is known, on the eve of the UN General Assembly approved the "New York Declaration" on the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the solution to create two states - Israel and Palestine. Speaking before the vote, French Ambassador Jérôme Bonnafont recalled that the New York Declaration "offers a single roadmap for the implementation of the solution to create two states". It provides for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all hostages held there, and the creation of a viable and sovereign Palestinian state. Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon, speaking before the vote, called the declaration "unilateral", stating that it "will go down in history not as a step towards peace, but only as another empty gesture that undermines the authority of the Assembly". According to him, "the main winner of any approval here today is Hamas", which will present it as "the fruits of its actions on October 7 [2023 - ed.]".

As is known, on October 7, 2023, about 70 militants of the terrorist group Hamas attacked Kibbutz Be'eri. At least 108 people were killed in the attack, including women, children and one-month-old babies. Dozens of houses were also burned. This attack was called the "Be'eri Massacre". Also on that day, Hamas launched a massive missile attack on Israel, killing more than 250 people.
