Funding of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) is proposed to be increased by 16% in 2026, i.e. from UAH 2.2 to UHA 2.5 billion.
This is stated in the bill of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 14000 "On the State Budget for 2026", Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The bill proposes to increase NABU expenditures from UAH 2.18 billion to UAH 2.54 billion. The entire amount is intended to support NABU's activities.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the funding of the Shevchenko National University of Kyiv is to be increased by UAH 200 million in 2026. The NABU director did not want to talk about bringing him to criminal responsibility for bribery. The director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, Semen Kryvonos, who heads the body that is supposed to fight corruption, was brought to criminal responsibility for voter bribery in 2009. Kryvonos was accused of committing a crime under Article 157 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - voter bribery. The wife of the NABU director gave the wife of the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration an apartment in Kyiv, and she gave her a dacha [country house - ed.] near Kyiv. The Prosecutor General's Office and the State Bureau of Investigation have exposed the deputy head of one of the NABU detective units for a criminal offense.
