Fighting in Yampil: russians tried to infiltrate under guise of civilians

Russian military personnel in civilian clothes tried to infiltrate the village of Yampil in the Donetsk Region, which is a gross violation of international law. It was reported by the DeepState project.

According to their data, the occupiers opened fire from machine guns, hiding in private houses, basements and cellars. The situation is complicated by the fact that civilians remain in the settlement, whom the russians are actually using as a "human shield".

"The enemy has been fixed, in particular, in the Yampil area, repeatedly, they have found a place to get to the settlement, so we should expect an increase in activity in the direction of the settlement, which they aim to capture, knowing its importance and criticality for all positions located to the east of it. Currently, active fighting is ongoing in the settlement," DeepState noted.

Later, the 11th Army Corps confirmed the infiltration attempt. They emphasized that individual enemy groups disguised themselves as civilians and hid in residential buildings and outbuildings.

"Units of the 11th Army Corps conducted a complex of anti-terrorist measures, as a result of which the enemy was identified, blocked and neutralized," the military reported.

They also emphasized that Yampil and the surrounding areas are under full control of the Defense Forces, and all enemy attempts to carry out sabotage were thwarted. Monitoring of the situation continues, security measures are being strengthened.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on September 13, the DeepState portal stated that the russian occupiers are continuing their offensive in the Kupiansk area.

The General Staff states that the situation in the city and its surroundings of Kupiansk, Kharkiv Region, is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The pipeline through which the russian occupiers moved to the city is also under the control of Ukrainian defenders.
