AFU monitoring situation in Kupiansk - General Staff reports on russians' attempt to enter city through pipeline

The situation in the city and the surroundings of Kupyansk, Kharkiv Region, is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The pipeline through which the russian occupiers moved to the city is also under the control of Ukrainian defenders. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said this in a statement on Saturday, September 13.

The General Staff noted that there are several pipelines in the area of Kupiansk, but the enemy will not be able to use three of the four threads, as they are damaged and flooded. The exit from the pipeline through which the occupiers moved to Kupiansk does not lead directly to the city and is under the control of Ukrainian defenders.

"At the same time, the enemy continues to make attempts to accumulate on the northern outskirts of the city of Kupiansk. A counter-sabotage operation is being conducted in the city, and search and strike operations are being conducted around the city. Since the beginning of the operation, in two weeks, the enemy's losses have amounted to 395 people, 288 of them are irretrievable," the report says.

On the approaches to Kupiansk, in the areas of the villages of Radkivka and Holubivka, the Armed Forces of Ukraine neutralized a total of 265 russians, and in the area of the city itself - another 128. The defensive operation in the Kupiansk direction is ongoing.
