Drone shot down over government buildings in Poland – Prime Minister Tusk

A drone was spotted over government buildings in central Poland and neutralized by the State Security Service. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk reported this on his X-account on Monday, September 15.

Tusk noted that two Belarusian citizens were arrested after the enemy drone was shot down.

"The State Security Service recently neutralized a drone operating over government buildings (Parkowa Street) and the Belvedere Palace. Two Belarusian citizens were detained. The police are investigating the circumstances of the incident," Tusk wrote.

On September 14, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said that the incursion of russian drones into Polish airspace was an attempt by the kremlin to test NATO's reaction through gradual escalation.

As a reminder, on September 13, due to the threat of the use of drones by the aggressor country russia in the border region of Ukraine, Poland raised military aviation and deployed ground-based air defense systems.
