The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft state budget for 2026 with an increase in expenditures by UAH 415 billion to UAH 4.8 trillion and revenues by UAH 447 billion to UAH 2.82 trillion.
This was announced by the MP from the Holos faction Yaroslav Zhelezniak in the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"In general, expenditures will be UAH 4.8 trillion (this is +UAH 415 billion more than in 2025). Expenditures on "defense and security" UAH 2.8 trillion (this is +UAH 168.5 billion more than in 2025). So far, without a hole of UAH 300 billion this year. Revenues for 2026 are projected at UAH 2.82 trillion (which is +UAH 446.8 billion more than the 2025 figure)," he wrote.
The MP notes that the draft document will be registered in the Verkhovna Rada today.
Then, on Wednesday, September 17, it will be considered and presented at the Budget Committee.
By October 1, amendments from MPs will be submitted, and after that, the Budget Committee will prepare a table of proposals and budget conclusions (somewhere by mid-October).
Furthermore, the approval of budget proposals should take place by October 20, which will be considered the first reading.
Finalization of the draft budget-2026 and its final approval should take place by November 20.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the draft state budget for 2026 provides for GDP growth of 2.4% and inflation at the end of the year of 9.9%.
In addition, the 2026 draft state budget provides for the indexation of pensions and an increase in the minimum wage to UAH 8,647.
