On the night of September 14, drones attacked the Kirishi oil refinery in the Leningrad Oblast of russia. It is one of the largest oil refineries in russia.
It was reported by the russians, who showed photos and videos of the consequences of the attack on social networks.
The governor of the region, Alexander Drozdenko, also reported a fire at the enterprise, stating that three drones were allegedly shot down near the city of Kirishi, and the fire was caused by falling debris. The fire was extinguished.
The commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi, specified that the attack was carried out by fighters of the 14th BPAK Regiment and the Special Operations Forces. According to him, the Kirishi refinery is one of the five largest in russia and specializes in the production of high-octane gasoline and various types of fuel.
"Gasoline is becoming a scarce liquid, and gas and oil are quickly burnt," added "Madyar".
As a reminder, as a result of the attack by Ukrainian drones on the northwestern port of Primorsk, the aggressor country russia suspended oil loading there for the first time.
