Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) have registered a criminal case due to the fall of ammunition from a Ukrainian fighter jet on a house in one of the villages in the Volyn Region. This is stated in the SBI report, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to preliminary data, on September 11, during the flight of a fighter jet, an unauthorized ammunition failure occurred, which hit a private residential building, the building was completely destroyed due to the explosion.
It is noted that the house was empty and there were no victims among the local residents. The SBI investigative and operational group is working at the scene of the incident, which is conducting priority investigative actions.
The pre-trial investigation is being carried out under Part 2 of Article 416 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of flight rules or preparation for them). The procedural management is carried out by the Volyn Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Field of Defense.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, according to media reports, on September 11, a residential building in the village of Kopyllia in the Volyn Region was destroyed after a missile fell from a fighter jet flying low over the settlement. According to media reports, the parents of the deputy chief of the local Rapid Operational Response Unit of police live in the destroyed house.
