Ukrainian farmers harvest almost 30 million tons of grain crops

Ukrainian farmers have harvested almost 29.2 million tons of grain crops.

This is stated in a message from the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The message says that as of September 12, 2025, 29,150,000 tons of grain crops have already been harvested in Ukraine on an area of ​​7,007,900 hectares.

62% of the areas sown with these crops have been threshed.

In particular: wheat - 22,189,800 tons were harvested on an area of ​​5,008,200 hectares; barley - 5,290,500 tons were harvested on an area of ​​1,344,800 hectares; peas – 611,600 tons were harvested on an area of ​​265,700 hectares; corn – 192,200 tons on an area of ​​54,100 hectares.

801,100 tons of other grains and legumes were harvested on an area of ​​291,500 hectares.

Among the leaders, in particular: Odesa Region - 3,449,700 tons were harvested from an area of ​​1,090,000 hectares; Vinnytsia Region - 2,403,400 tons were harvested from an area of ​​432,400 hectares; Kirovohrad Region - 2,208,400 tons were harvested from an area of ​​535,500 hectares and Khmelnytskyi Region - 2,102,300 tons were harvested from an area of ​​299,800 hectares.

3,246,500 tons of rapeseed have already been harvested on an area of ​​1,274,300 hectares.

The harvest of this crop is complete.

Soybeans were harvested in the amount of 354,300 tons on an area of ​​204,700 hectares.

Sunflowers – 885,300 tons on an area of ​​570,300 hectares.

Sugar beets have already been dug up in the amount of 155,100 tons on an area of ​​3,300 hectares.

Corn harvesting has already begun in six regions of Ukraine - Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy and Cherkasy.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as of September 5, 2025, 28,768,400 tons of grain crops have already been harvested in Ukraine on an area of ​​6,932,700 hectares.

62% of the areas sown with these crops have been threshed.

In 2025, farmers planned to sow more than 5.7 million hectares of spring grain and leguminous crops, which corresponds to the level of 2024. The main feature of the new season was the increase in the area under spring wheat to 227,500 hectares.
