Ukrainian farmers have harvested almost 28.8 million tons of grain crops.
This is stated in a message of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The message says that as of September 5, 2025, 28,768,400 tons of grain crops have already been harvested in Ukraine on an area of 6,932,700 hectares.
62% of the areas sown with these crops have been threshed.
In particular: wheat - 22,048,300 tons were harvested on an area of 5,006,800 hectares; barley - 5,290,500 tons were harvested on an area of 1,344,800 hectares; peas – 610,100 tons were harvested on an area of 265,700 hectares.
Other grains and legumes were harvested in the amount of 781,100 tons on an area of 291,700 hectares.
Among the leaders, in particular: Odesa Region - 3,448,300 tons were harvested from an area of 1,088,400 hectares; Vinnytsia Region - 2,394,100 tons were harvested from an area of 427,800 hectares; Kirovohrad Region - 2,208,200 tons were harvested from an area of 535,000 hectares; Khmelnytskyi Region - 2,102,300 tons were harvested from an area of 299,800 hectares.
Rapeseed has already been harvested in the amount of 3,246,400 tons on an area of 1,274,300 hectares.
Soybeans were harvested in the amount of 135,200 tons on an area of 84,900 hectares.
Sunflower – 208,100 tons on an area of 154,200 hectares.
Farmers of the Vinnytsia and Cherkasy Regions have begun harvesting sugar beets.
36,400 tons of sweet roots have already been harvested on an area of 900 hectares.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as of August 29, 2025, a total of 28,370,600 tons of early grain and legume crops have already been harvested in Ukraine on an area of 6,887,600 hectares.
61% of the areas sown with these crops have been threshed.
In 2025, farmers planned to sow more than 5.7 million hectares of spring grain and legume crops, which corresponds to the level of 2024.
The main feature of the new season was the increase in the area under spring wheat to 227,500 hectares.
