On Friday, September 12, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski arrived in Kyiv for a visit. This was stated in a message from the country's Foreign Ministry on the social network X.
"Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski began his visit to Ukraine. He was met at the Kyiv railway station by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha," it says.
Sybiha wrote on his page on the social network X that he met Sikorski, as well as the American writer, Pulitzer Prize winner Anne Applebaum, at the capital's railway station.
"Against the backdrop of the escalation of russian terror against Ukraine and provocations against Poland, we stand firmly together. Today we will hold in-depth talks on our common security, Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO, and pressure on Moscow," the Ukrainian Foreign Minister wrote.
He also thanked Poland for its "leadership and support."
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of September 9-10, russian UAVs flew into Polish territory. The Polish military recorded 19 cases of violations of the country's airspace. To destroy the drones, Poland and its NATO allies raised combat aircraft into the sky. They managed to shoot down several russian drones.
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said that the russian drones were directed at Poland intentionally, and did not deviate from the course.
Sikorski also expressed hope that US President Donald Trump would finally understand that russian dictator vladimir putin was mocking him.
