Kremlin intensified threats and aggressive rhetoric towards Baltic states - CCD

Russian propaganda has intensified threats and aggressive rhetoric towards the Baltic states. This is stated in the message of the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD).

Thus, it is reported that pro-Kremlin resources publish "expert opinions" that allegedly prove the involvement of the Baltic states in the attacks of Ukrainian drones on the territory of the aggressor country of the russian federation. At the same time, as the CCD notes, only unsubstantiated assumptions are given based on "reports of local residents" etc. - there are no confirmations or facts.

The CCD emphasizes that in these publications the propaganda is trying to present the Baltics as a "threat to russia", a "NATO bridgehead" and justify the need for a "response to aggression", in fact justifying a possible escalation by the russian federation.

"It is important that the information campaign against the Baltic states is being carried out synchronously with the violation of Polish airspace by russian drones and the start of the russian-Belarusian military exercises "West-2025". These are links in the Kremlin's unified strategy of intimidating neighbors and putting pressure on NATO. Moscow seeks to destabilize NATO states and create a split among Ukraine's partners," the CCD emphasizes.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the aggressor state of russia is trying to remove responsibility for the flight of russian drones into Polish territory, shifting it to Ukraine and "part of the European elites."

It was previously reported that a sharp increase in cases of interference in the operation of GPS signals has been recorded in the Baltic Sea - sources of jamming, according to experts, are located on the territory of the aggressor state of russia. Hybrid attacks are part of russia's broader strategy of reducing support for Ukraine through intimidation of the population.
