Russia deliberately launched drones over Poland - Pistorius

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius believes that the incident with the violation of airspace by drones of the army of the aggressor country of russia was intentional.

Pistorius made the corresponding statement during a speech in the Bundestag, his words are quoted by the Tagesschau publication.

"There is absolutely no reason to think that this is a course correction, a mistake or something like that. These drones were clearly directed along this route," Pistorius said.

He emphasized that if the russians wanted to use these drones against Ukraine, they would not have had to fly along a route that includes Polish airspace.

Pistorius added that russia has been systematically carrying out provocations over the past two years. This includes violations of the airspace of the Baltic countries, incidents in the Baltic Sea and numerous hybrid attacks in Central Europe.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of September 9-10, drones launched by the russian army over Ukraine flew into the territory of Poland. Warsaw reported 19 violations of the country's airspace.

The Polish military and their NATO allies were forced to raise combat aircraft into the sky. It is known that the alliance's fighters shot down several drones.

The Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration stated that after the night incident, eight russian UAVs and one unidentified missile were discovered.

One of the drones destroyed the roof of a residential building in a settlement in the Lublin Voivodeship in eastern Poland.

As a reminder, the russian Defense Ministry admitted that russian UAVs flew into the territory of Poland, but hastened to assure that it allegedly did not plan an attack on the country.
