Weak response now will provoke russia even more - Sybiha on drones in Poland

Russian drones that flew into Poland at night indicate that putin's sense of impunity continues to grow, as he has not been properly punished for his previous crimes. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

"Putin continues to escalate, expands the war and tests the West for strength. The longer he does not receive a forceful response, the more aggressive he becomes. A weak response now will provoke russia even more - and then russian missiles and drones will fly even further into Europe," the report says.

He believes that a decision must finally be made that will allow the use of the air defense capabilities of neighboring countries to intercept drones and missiles in Ukrainian airspace, in particular those approaching NATO borders.

"Ukraine has long proposed such a step. It must be taken for the sake of collective security. This is also a call to partners to urgently strengthen Ukraine's air defenses and better protect themselves from the growing number of russian drones and missiles that regularly attack us," Sybiha said.

The minister also stressed that sanctions should be tightened without delay.

"Putin will only take peace talks seriously when he faces serious transatlantic pressure. The russian military machine must be stopped - and it can only be stopped by force, not weakness," Sybiha added.

As a reminder, the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces confirmed the violation of the country's airspace during russia's night attack on Ukraine.

An operation is underway to identify and neutralize the targets.
