Agricultural enterprises have started sowing winter crops.
This is stated in a message of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The message states that 727,500 hectares have already been sown with winter crops.
Farmers in the Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Ternopil, Kherson, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv Regions have started sowing winter grain crops.
A total of 42,200 hectares have been sown.
Agricultural producers in almost all regions are sowing winter rapeseed, which has been sown on 685,300 hectares.
It is noted that, in particular, 39,900 hectares of winter wheat have been sown; 1,100 hectares of winter barley; winter rye – 1,200 hectares and winter rapeseed – 685,300 hectares.
Agrarians of the Vinnytsia, Volyn, Poltava and Ternopil Regions have completed sowing winter rapeseed.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, as of September 5, 2025, 28,768,400 tons of grain crops have already been harvested in Ukraine on an area of 6,932,700 hectares.
62% of the areas sown with these crops have been threshed.
