Ukrainian farmers have harvested 28.4 million tons of grain and leguminous crops.
This is stated in a message from the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The message says that as of August 29, 2025, 28,370,600 tons of early grain and leguminous crops have already been harvested in Ukraine on an area of 6,887,600 hectares.
61% of the areas sown with these crops have been threshed.
In particular: wheat - 21,858,200 tons were harvested on an area of 5,000,500 hectares; barley - 5,159,200 tons were harvested on an area of 1,343,000 hectares; peas - 585,000 tons were harvested on an area of 262,300 hectares.
Other grains and legumes were harvested in the amount of 746,400 tons on an area of 266,700 hectares.
Among the leaders, in particular: Odesa Region - 3,447,200 tons were harvested from an area of 1,087,000 hectares; Vinnytsia Region - 2,385,800 tons were harvested from an area of 423,700 hectares; Khmelnytskyi Region - 2,102,300 tons were harvested from an area of 299,800 hectares; Kirovohrad Region - 2,206,000 tons were harvested from an area of 534,100 hectares.
Rapeseed has already been harvested in the amount of 3,193,300 tons on an area of 1,273,500 hectares.
Soybeans were harvested in the amount of 10,400 tons on an area of 7,290,000 hectares.
Sunflowers - 13,200 tons on an area of 15,400 hectares.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as of August 22, 2025, 27,251,900 tons of early grain and legume crops had already been harvested in Ukraine on an area of 6,700,900 hectares.
60% of the areas sown with these crops were threshed.
In 2025, farmers planned to sow more than 5.7 million hectares of spring grain and legume crops, which corresponds to the level of 2024.
The main feature of the new season was the increase in the area under spring wheat to 227,500 hectares.
