Russia prepares new offensive against Ukraine - Bloomberg

European leaders are increasingly concerned about a possible new offensive by the aggressor country of russia on Ukraine. They discussed the issue with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during talks on security guarantees, Bloomberg reports.

Last week, at a meeting of the Security Council in Toulon, German and French representatives drew attention to a significant concentration of russian troops near Pokrovsk of the Donetsk Region. According to sources, the Kremlin has transferred large forces there.

According to Zelenskyy, russia has concentrated about 100,000 troops on this section of the front. Moscow has been trying to surround and capture Pokrovsk for more than a year, but so far without success.

Capturing the city would allow russian troops to open the way for an offensive on Kramatorsk and Sloviansk, which would allow Moscow to intensify attempts to establish control over the entire Donetsk Region.

As a reminder, the Coalition of the Willing stated, following the results of the meeting on August 17, that it was ready to deploy security forces in Ukraine after the ceasefire, protect air and sea space, and restore the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
