French President Emmanuel Macron said that work on security guarantees for Ukraine has been completed and the documents are now ready for political approval.
As reported by European Pravda, on September 3, Macron met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the Elysee Palace.
The French leader emphasized that after the summit in Washington in mid-August, military leaders had carried out all the necessary preparations.
"Thanks to the input prepared, documented and confirmed this afternoon at the level of defense ministers in strict secrecy, we can now say: this work is completed and ready for political approval," Macron said.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in turn, emphasized that these guarantees constitute real and tangible support for our state, and not symbolic statements. He also recalled that previous coalition initiatives, in which few people initially believed, were implemented and are in effect today.
As a reminder, the Coalition of the Willing stated at a meeting on August 17 that it was ready to deploy security forces in Ukraine after the ceasefire, protect air and sea space, and restore the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Coalition of the Willing, led by France and Britain, is working on a plan to send a mission to Ukraine to guarantee the future ceasefire.
