Beijing hosts military parade: Xi Jinping, putin and Kim Jong Un take part

China held one of the largest military parades in recent years, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Japan's surrender and the end of World War II. The celebrations took place on Tiananmen Square in Beijing with the participation of more than 26 foreign leaders, including kremlin leader vladimir putin, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, the leaders of Iran, Belarus, Indonesia and other countries. Among Western politicians, only Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico was present.

This is reported by Reuters and the BBC.

At the beginning of the parade, cannons fired a symbolic 80 shots and 80,000 birds were released into the sky. The largest military orchestra in Chinese history also made its debut, consisting of more than a thousand officers, including 80 trumpeters.

In a speech, Chinese leader Xi Jinping said that "the world should not return to the law of the jungle" and called on states to learn from the past, value peace and choose dialogue over confrontation.

During the parade, China demonstrated the latest weapons: the DF-5C intercontinental ballistic missile, which can hit any point on the planet, the J-20S two-seat fighter jets, the AJX 002 and HSU 100 underwater drones, as well as laser weapons. In addition, Beijing showed all the components of its nuclear triad - land, sea and air forces.

The air show concluded with seven J-10 aircraft flying over the square, leaving behind 14 colored plumes, symbolizing 14 years of resistance to Japanese aggression.

Recall that Chinese Leader Xi Jinping and russian dictator vladimir putin met in Beijing on Tuesday, September 2, for bilateral talks.
