The russian occupation army attacked the Khmelnytskyi Region at night and in the morning with missiles and drones, as a result of enemy strikes there is damage to civilian infrastructure, in particular, in Khmelnytskyi a fire broke out in the territory of a garage complex, residential buildings and an educational institution were damaged, a person is being searched for under the rubble.
The State Emergency Service, Khmelnytskyi Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn and Head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration Serhii Tiurin announced this on the Telegram messenger, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine noted that at night and in the morning, russian troops attacked the Khmelnytskyi Region twice with missiles and drones.
"As a result of the strikes, a fire broke out on the territory of a garage complex. According to preliminary information, 10 garages were destroyed, another 5 caught fire. The fire has now been localized, rescuers continue to extinguish and dismantle structures. Information about the victims is being clarified," the report says.
Khmelnytskyi Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn reported that air defense forces worked effectively in the city, there were hits.
However, there is a number of damages:
- more than 50 windows were broken and damaged in an educational institution;
- more than 100 windows were broken and damaged in residential buildings;
- there is damage on the territory of a municipal enterprise;
- private garages and cars were destroyed and damaged;
- utility infrastructure and 2 trolleybuses were damaged;
- non-residential premises were damaged.
In addition, there are problems with power supply in one of the villages of the community.
Power engineers plan to supply voltage for 3 hours.
It is also reported that public transport (trolleybuses) is gradually returning to routes and will operate in full force.
Due to the delay, there will be disruptions in traffic schedules.
In turn, the head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration Serhii Tiurin said that during the night and morning, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 3 enemy Shahed strike UAVs and 1 Kalibr cruise missile, while one enemy drone was lost in location.
"Unfortunately, the search for a person who may probably be under the rubble is ongoing. Information about the injured or dead has not been received," he wrote.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, at night, russia carried out a massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine, Poland put its air defenses on combat alert.
The consequences of the drone attack on the Kirovohrad Region were also reported: five people were injured in Znamianka, the railway was damaged, and a number of trains were delayed.
