The murder of MP Andriy Parubiy is not accidental, there is a russian trace in it. This was reported by the head of the National Police, Andriy Vyhivskyi, on his Facebook.
"The round-the-clock work of the police of the Lviv Region and the central apparatus of the National Police has yielded results - the audacious murderer has been detained, the necessary evidence has been collected," the message says.
The murderer was detained at night in the Khmelnytskyi Region. According to Vyhivskyi, the man had been following the MP for a long time and was carefully preparing for the crime. It took law enforcement officers 36 hours to track him down and detain him.
"On August 30, in the Sykhivskyi district of Lviv, he disguised himself as a courier and opened fire on a politician in broad daylight. Eight shots. Cold-blooded cruelty. He even made sure that the victim was killed. And then he tried to cover his tracks - he changed clothes, got rid of his weapon, tried to hide in the Khmelnytskyi Region. We know: this crime is not accidental. There is a russian trace in it," Vyhivskyi wrote.

Parubiy will be buried on September 2 at the Lychakiv cemetery in Lviv.
