In H1, Vodafone Ukraine cuts net profit by 13% to UAH 1.7 billion

In the first half of the year, the mobile operator Vodafone Ukraine (PJSC VF Ukraine, Kyiv) reduced its net profit by 13% to UAH 1.7 billion compared to the same period in 2024.

This is announced in the company's statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

It is noted that the decrease was caused by additional costs associated with the postponement of payments on Eurobonds for two years, as well as an increase in debt servicing costs due to a 1.5-fold increase in the interest rate in accordance with the new restructuring conditions.

In January-June, Vodafone increased its revenue by 15% to UAH 13.5 billion compared to the same period last year.

The main growth factors are still the development of fixed business, an increase in the volume of data services and the number of Internet users and, accordingly, revenues from services - both mobile and fixed.

The OIBDA indicator in the first half of 2025 increased by 12% to UAH 7.17 billion.

The OIBDA margin was 53.1%, a slight decrease - by 1.7 pp compared to the same period last year - occurred against the background of a rapid increase in the tax burden and costs for network power supply.

The confident growth allowed the company to invest even more - Vodafone increased investments by 66% and invested more than UAH 3.5 billion in the country's critical infrastructure in the first half of 2025. More than half of the total investment is aimed at developing, restoring and increasing network reliability in the event of prolonged power outages.

In the first half of 2025, the company noted a slight decrease in the total number of customers, at the same time, Vodafone managed to increase the number of contract subscribers - both in the private and corporate segments.
