A private russian company SR Space, which in the aggressor country of russia itself was presented as a competitor to the American SpaceX, was declared bankrupt.
This is evidenced by reports from russian media, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The Interfax agency wrote that on August 25, the moscow Arbitration Court declared SR Space bankrupt based on a previously filed application by the Federal Tax Service of the russian federation.
At the time of writing, the court had not published the details of the case regarding SR Space. The details remain unknown.
SR Space CEO Oleg Mansurov said in a comment to Interfax that the company intends to seek the cancellation of the court decision. It has 15 days to do this.
"As soon as the debt is repaid, the bankruptcy case will be terminated. At the same time, all obligations to partners and contractors are preserved and will be fulfilled in full in the near future. The company continues to work," Mansurov said.
The SR Space company was founded in 2022 and united a number of subsidiaries (SR Rockets, SR Satellites, SR CMS, SR Data), which develop rockets and spacecraft, and also earn money by analyzing data from space images.
The company promised to create a satellite constellation of 521 devices by 2030, which should become a competitor to the Starlink satellite communication system from the American company SpaceX.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, today, August 26, the office of Polish President Karol Nawrocki announced that the veto on the law on assistance to Ukrainians will not affect Starlink funding for Ukraine.
Yesterday, August 25, Polish Digitalization Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski said that due to Nawrocki's veto, Warsaw will not be able to pay for Starlink services for Ukraine.
