Nawrocki's Office refutes statement about possible disconnection of Starlink for Ukraine

The head of the Polish President's Office, Zbigniew Bogucki, has refuted the statement of the Minister of Digitalization, Krzysztof Gawkowski, that the veto of the head of state, Karol Nawrocki, on the law on assistance to Ukrainians will leave Ukraine without satellite Internet from Starlink, which is paid for by Poland.

Thus, Bogucki accused Gawkowski of playing along with russian propaganda and refuted his statement.

"You (Gawkowski) should fight manipulation and disinformation on the Internet, not create them. President Nawrocki's veto does not disable the Starlink Internet for Ukraine, since the costs of this connection are financed on the basis of the provisions of the current law, and the bill submitted by the Polish President to the Sejm preserves this order. It is enough to promptly consider this presidential initiative in the Polish Parliament in September," Boguski wrote on his page in X.

The same, he said, applies to supporting the storage of Ukrainian administration data in a safe place.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the day before, Polish Minister of Digitalization Krzysztof Gawkowski said that his country would not be able to pay for Starlink satellite Internet services for Ukraine due to President Karol Nawrocki's veto of the law on providing assistance to Ukrainians.
