Today the Cabinet of Ministers will update the rules for crossing the border for men aged 18 to 22. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
In particular, he reported that he had listened to the report of Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.
"Today, at a government meeting, the rules for crossing the state border for men aged 18 to 22 will be updated. All details have been agreed with the military command, and the relevant opportunities should be operational in the near future," he said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on August 12, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he had instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to work out the possibility of simplifying border crossing for citizens under 22.
On August 18, Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko announced that the Cabinet of Ministers is preparing a decision to allow men under 22 to travel abroad; according to her, this does not require changes to the legislation.
Members of Parliament propose to the Rada to allow men under 24 to travel abroad.
