Drone that exploded in territory of Lublin Voivodeship could have come from Ukraine - Polish Foreign Ministry

Poland has shared new details on the investigation into the explosion of a drone in the Lublin Voivodeship on the night of August 20, and has concluded that it could have come from the territory of Ukraine. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski, announced this, PAP reports.

"We believe that it was a Russian drone that flew over the territory of Ukraine," the deputy minister said.

The publication notes that last Thursday, Grzegorz Trusiewicz, head of the Lublin district prosecutor's office, stressed that everything indicates that the drone flew from the direction of Belarus, and investigators continue to find new components even more than 100 meters from the site of the explosion.

"There is no official version at the moment. However, as far as I understand, it is unofficial, we are waiting for the report. It arrived from the territory of Ukraine, which is interesting, since Ukraine is better prepared than all countries to combat drones, since it faces this every day," said Bartoszewski.
