Ukraine's attacks disrupt 17% of russia's oil refining capacity — Reuters

Ukraine's attacks on the oil refining facilities of the aggressor country russia have disrupted the operation of at least 17% of the country's oil refining capacity.

Reuters reported this yesterday, August 25.

Since the beginning of August, the Ukrainian army has carried out dozens of attacks on the territory of the russian federation. In addition to military and infrastructure facilities, the targets of the strikes were oil refineries.

According to Reuters, at least ten refineries were attacked. The strikes on them led to the disruption of at least 17% of russia's oil refining capacity, or 1.1 million barrels per day.

The strikes on the refineries fell during a period of peak fuel consumption by tourists and farmers. Earlier this summer, russia banned fuel exports abroad, but even this measure did not save the country from the fuel crisis.

In some regions of the country, there is a shortage of gasoline: its sale is prohibited or is carried out by coupons. In addition, russians are forced to switch to more expensive gasoline due to the lack of regular fuel brands.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, yesterday, August 25, it became known that in the Sakhalin Oblast of the russian federation, the sale of gasoline to the population was banned amid a rapid decline in fuel reserves in the region.

As a reminder, the Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS) of Ukraine stated that Belarus is in no hurry to help the russian federation with the fuel shortage, preferring to sell gasoline to other countries at a higher price.
