The missile of an unidentified type, which the army of the aggressor country russia used today, August 21, to strike Ukraine, turned out to be a hypersonic Zircon missile.
The Defense Express portal reported this with reference to its own sources.
After the air attack by the occupiers, the Ukrainian Air Forces published a traditional message in which it listed what weapons the occupiers used during the attack. The list includes an "unidentified type" missile, which was launched from the territory of the occupied Crimea.

Anonymous sources told Defense Express that this missile turned out to be a russian 3M22 Zircon missile. The publication also found out that this was the 14th launch of a missile of this type since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
The publication writes that as a result of today's launch of Zircon can be characterized by the phrase "it had no success".
It is noted that when the Ukrainian military shot down two Zircons in the spring, russian propaganda practically stopped mentioning this "miracle weapon", which was actively advertised until 2022.
Today's launch of Zircon was carried out from the territory of occupied Crimea. It is likely that we are talking about a stationary underground facility that was built in the 60s.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of August 20-21, the russian occupation army carried out a large-scale air attack on Ukraine, using missiles of various types and UAVs.
We will remind, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine stated that as a result of the attack by the occupiers, a gas transportation infrastructure facility was damaged.
Russian missiles also hit the plant of the American company Flextronics, located in the Zakarpattia Region.
